well first of all, i'm not gonna point out who is better or some ego post and anything related about this.

as far i remember old players used to play in a mixed ladder(1v1 and tg used still merge between thyself) and hence didn't show real tg skills for the whole top players who reached 2.2k or higher since most of them played 1v1 games to boost this rate.
we used to had a different elo rating system, that didn't punish noobbash like today does apart from getting at the top is harder today.

in another point, stack team was very commonly in old days, you were able to find 17++ stacking against 16++, 18++ vs 17++ and in this way with higher rated too, today some ppl tired of these team stacked against noobs and many of them hate this game style and for hence ppl used to quit from rooms too, so since is hard to find games and then ppl don't tend to stack, apart from their own pride.

today the game style is really quite different than used to be, with this i don't mean than old players were bad, just that today improved a lot than before.
things like >
reinforcement fast(every 4 units) only used to be in 1v1 hero games and bloods, not for hero tg rooms, most of old players wait 20-30-40 units to reinforcement.
cut/spawning the main enemy civ stacking against them(sarra for example) or strong runner/massive (like pers) didn't use to be common in old days.
apart the new patch made the game more sensible and for hence you need to adapt to the new gameplay, play more faster(old patch was very commonly to have more lag/turtle apart from being very slow without this.).. was a mess to play a cba/hero with patch 1.4... apart patrolling is quite better/faster today.
not need to mention than many mods/visual content or gameplay changes improved the gameplay too not only for cs maps.. for rm too.

with all of this i mean that if old players come back to play they will need to adapt for changes and not gonna be easy as they used to said, so before claiming than being 2.3k or higher was harder in old ladder.. you all need to prove it getting the same amount in new ladder with a new/improved level of gameplay.

. People do this they stack get good stats/rates then play near decay with those accounts nothing new if he got three 2k2. About phurriz he was 2k3 or 2k4 while playing cba hero random teams i bet if you guys start playing random teams you will be 19xx again your original rate.. About considering myself good and others etc etc.. I dont have time nor reason to get active like before probably because my frnds dont play anymore and waiting for long for a decent game is just too much... Thats why not interested.
