Guys,

drop here your most fancy ideas for mods, I will try to bring them to reality

Topic inspired by [BigNooB]Crazy_Gamer ;lol

This is a summary with the things asked by people:

- herdable look bigger - visual mod
- edge of the map have color red
- show what units you have in control groups
- highlights the units that are getting converted

Well, since you’re asking for crazy ones, I might as well suggest some that I’ve seen on DE:

1) a mod that makes herdables look bigger. I really don’t know how this helps at all, but people seem to like it on DE, at least on low ELO. It’s a visual mod btw.
2) a mod that makes the edge of the map of another color (I think it’s red), so that you’re sure you’ve explored well.
3) a mod that shows what you have in your control groups. I think it’s on DE by default, it’s not a mod; it would be cool to have it on Voobly.
4) a mod that highlights the units who are getting converted by monks. Not sure how the hell they even managed to create it in DE; I think it’s been deleted too, after raising some concern.

Finally, some time ago I’ve talked about Age of Mandala here, but I guess you’re not interested in it.

I really like your Age of Mandala suggestion, but I could not find a way to work it yet.
I started modding just few months ago and I'm still learning things.

But there are still many expert modders lurking around, that could use your ideas. So no need to hold back, let your imagination, go wild

Skins for siege weapons with a soldier maneuvering them, such as cannons.

I see. I tried to give it a shot too, but I’m just too ignorant on modding 11

One suggestion I can give to people who’d want to try though is using the shadows of the buildings. This is what the author of the mod said too and it’s just logical, if you think about it. If you add the “circles” to the shadows of the towers/town centers/castles, then they won’t be clickable I guess. I have no clue on how to modify the shadows though. I hope some expert modder will take interest in Age of Mandala at some point.

These QoL improvements would be definitely cool, especially the progress bar for techs. But I guess it would have to be a data mod, because it would be way too unfair as a visual mod. Maybe this could be implemented with a new version of Userpatch, just as it happened with Multi-Queue. Well, I think that a new version of Userpatch would be 100% about QoL improvements anyway.

The problem with data mods is that it can't run in the same time with others mods. First let's make it possible so the other modders can integrate it in their data mods. We can't just wait for a new userpatch as it may never happen.

Feature to place more than one selected tower/building at time, like a group of selected towers/buildings placed at the same time (the same element, but places un more than one square). Example horizontally or vertically line of 2/5 buildings/towers selected.
