i suggest to set a limited number of players who can sign up and no time limit...
check each profile one by one and screw those guys who love bashing.
and free up fr more. simple but hard but worth it.
at least we can make npl guys confident and have fun.

Hey! This is a good one! I play BF in New Player, and i can say that there are good "New players" there. my vote is non-negative (Grande Cobos!! ajja)

We need a tourrnament cause we are a lot of players and soundtrack's lovers.

We need a voobly promoter to promote this in new player lobby to get people to vote or reply in a democratic way.

Many things need to be considered in regards to having a tournament in the NPL. Not trying to be a wet blanket here, but these are just plain fact.

1. Gauranteed players that aren't new and know how to play will join this tournament and ruin the fun for the actual new players.
2. I personally don't understand why you want feedback from clans in this lounge. I personally don't believe in clans for the NPL. Players join a clan, then they stack the teams vs lower rated players. Next thing you know they are being reported.
3. Hardly anybody believes in playing for fun anymore when you have points involved. I guess a warm and fuzzy feeling of victory isn't enough anymore lol
4. It's near impossible to keep other lounges out of this tournament. +1 Anket
5. This lobby was not created to keep players in it. It was created for the sole purpose of teaching new players how to play the game. After they've learned and become better players, they should be moving on to the other lounges. They aren't. This tournament promotes them staying in the NPL. I know many players that voice their opinion publicly about this, but they don't report. Reporting is very important. (Noob Bashing Information)
6. There is a lot of criteria us Mods view to determine a Noob Basher. Something I'm not willing to go into detail about. It sometimes takes more than one hour to view one player. This is how much work is involved. I believe in being thorough to make sure that my assessment is accurate. I train the trial NPL mods to do the same.
7. Checking the sign-ups within one hour to determine no noob bashers are preset is just not enough time.
8. I won't mention any names on this thread, but some of you I've already warned about noob bashing.

I won't sign up for this tournment, don't worry.. but I think it's a great thing a tourment there.
I believe that players want to be better at this game.. but there's some players who don't.
I mean.. I don't really care, I'm 30 yrs old with a daughter to take care..
don't wanna keep studying the game to get better and I know a lot of ppl there who do the same.
Just wanna relax.
The same goes for the clans that I meantioned before. Leaders from LOTD have 32 and 35 yrs old.
Frozen leaders are over 25.
They will stay in NPL.


And this "stacking" thing.. nothing personal Mich, but this term.. it's so ridiculous.

Not if they ignore warnings and not if I can help it. Also, age has nothing to do with maturity or level of skill. I know some 18 y/o that have a higher maturity level than some players in their 20's & 30's.

Ofc stacking isn't considered ridiculous if you're the one doing it. If you and your brother are playing vs the same skilled people, then ofc that's not a problem. I was referring to when clan members play full 4 fmt vs lesser skilled players. Example being 13xx players playing 4 fmt vs all random 11xx. If you knew the policy you would see it's a violation.

Hi everyone, i'm a new player here but i want to have some thoughts of this interesting idea.
I agree with MiCh about the sole_rule of NPL to be the step for newbies to learn and move forward, but not agree about this tournament will ruin it. The tournament will atract more people to the lobby and make the lobby more excited. I think that will help people move forward. How can i learn if i dont have fun with it?

Instead of banning veteran players from the tourney, make some stages for them to perform their skills.
Or make the tourney reward like something that veteran players already have, then there's no point for them in joining and bashing noobie, but inspire noobie to become a veteran.

Anyway, i agree with the idea of more variety instead of just a Black Forest map. Like Deathmatch, King of the Hills, Wonder race,... or something more ?

Exactly new player lobby ,meaning all players in new player lobby from 0-1400
Most have not taken the jump to MS becasue they are not ready or not good enough yet.

Lets close this thread then and focus on an all player tournament for blackforest.

why do mods or tourney host needs to check each player for being noob basher or ms player. each team can itself check its opponents for discrepancies. Just need to make rules like players should be playing on the npl ladder for 3 or 4 months and some rating limits or ratio. If any1 reported for not abiding by rules, he will get banned for 10 to 30 days or from such other tourneys (npl tourneys can become a regular event ) and the other team gets aw.
