there is no mess with that, if you experience problems opening with win 10 / 11, you just have to configure voobly to run you as win 7 or 8
Windows 7 is an EOL operating system. Windows 8 is fine, but Windows 10 and 11 are having crashing issues. Our framework is more or less forcing us to do that switch, it's not our decision. Again, the actual question is, whether frustrated Windows 10 / 11 users will quit first, or whether Windows 7 / XP users will lose interest and quit first. Either way you answer this, it's a difficult situation.

Today in medieval siege lobby I have seen add that older versions of the client will not be supported starting 20th of March. I have Win 7 in my home too and probably will not be able to play, however I have win 8 in the office so will be playing duiring work hours 11.

I run linux and use just a small package of the windows xp library ( < 50 MB ).
I think I'm not the only one who has linux and has no interest to install any windows just for a game.
As feedback, the (old) client worked fine during the whole new beta client, even yesterday and I don't see why I would update to a new version of voobly client, since I the old stuff works fine.
If you want to bring a new client for voobly with new features, fine by me, but the old client should still work
Wish we could find a middle ground, I understand those with win10-11 crashing is a huge issue for increasing the player base, on the other hand seems most people in here still uses windows 7 and have no interest updating to windows 10.

You could check, whether your hardware supports Windows 10.
