Roster had to be locked when tournament is started. I really couldn't bother to explain reason.
At very start of the tournament i shouldve got captains to post their roster of available players. Sure it was an oversight and lessons learned. The roster rule came into play once groups stages finished when there was an issue with people smurfing during the group stages. Its easy to claim unwritten rules but with this being the first time we have done a cs tourney like this everything needs addressed and written down from the start and yes some things where missed.
There seems to be an issue now regarding the roster lock with some saying they didnt read what i posted properly as in they thought it wasnt a possibility (unwritten rules) and it wasnt addressed then so its being brought up now.
Guys please keep this civil and no name calling please
If you didn't make a rule about this, then you're an ****. Unwritten rules are totally disregarded in tournament. You know this from past tournaments. This tournament is derailing and it's a shame.
I understand the point about unwritten rules are disregarded and i accept it was an oversight/mistake on my behalf not including it from the start because a tournament like this hadnt been done before. Its only natural mistakes will be made and certain aspects missed thus why it took so long to draw any rules up having recieved alot of feedback on the best way forward. But it was also an issue never brought up by anyone until the group stages about having a roster lock as others had clearly missed it with some thinking it was an unwritten rule. I dont believe the tournament is derailing even if mistakes where made its just a case of sorting it now to avoid any drama. In your opinion what should we do with regards rosters now and do u believe it is ok for someone to join a clan who hasnt particapated in the tournament? I want to get a general agreement and naturally as always go with the majority
Frankie... everyone agrees that the roster you signed up with for the tournament should be the only people allowed to play... the fact you even need to ask this just confuses me... the reason no one ever brought it up was because no one actually had any actual idea it was 'allowed' to recruit some random player 1 week 2 weeks.. 1 month or more into the tournament and they could play for for your clan.
I know nobody brought it up because they thought it was an unwritten rule. But as mentioned unwritten rules get disregarded and really i shouldve made it clear from the start and got rosters posted which was my mistake. The only reason im asking is because i posted that 2 weeks ago and nobody disagreed with it until now. So naturally im trying to get an opinion. If the majority think that the only people who can play are those who where initially in the clan when the tourney started then thats how it will be and so far that seems to be what the majority are saying. I will say this though nobody has asked to let any recent additions play but it is only right we sort it now so theres no drama about it on the day
The more you fake your confidence before the games.. the worse it will be for you Damian.. so stop... Unless you guys plan to choose Nova vs us in tg Scar doesnt really add anything to 7th... But that doesnt mean you should be allowed to recruit a guy in the semi finals of a tournament and he can play for a team... and I know everyone outside of 7th will agree with that.
I already answered your question 3 weeks ago by suggesting a roster lock. I don't know where you are getting the idea that no one has brought it up. If you haven't implemented it then 7th and any other clan still alive can recruit whoever they want, even if it is seen as a move of cowardice by others.
I expected there to be problems that we can improve from. I didn't expect fundamental principles to be overlooked due to poor managerial decisions. You're trying your best which I will acknowledge. I don't think you're suitable to run this on your own. Asking us to makes rules days before a semi final is just a disaster piece waiting to be started, especially with the personalities involved between Eot and 7th and their obvious discontent toward each other.
I know you did mate that was the first time it was brought up though and thats why i added it cause i could see the problem and the fact it was overlooked/missed from the start. Clearly a few weeks ago was when if there was to be any changes for semis it should've been agreed. As i was saying i posted about it weeks ago too and thought what i posted everyone was happy with as nobody disagreed then and im sure everyone read it. The only reason its being brought up now as only today it was questioned which as you rightly pointed out is only days from the games which isnt helpful at all and what i posted with regards rosters really shouldve been questioned then.
Ive been getting lots to help with regards the tourney most notably from the clans/players themselves along with a number of members of staff. But yes of course more help would appreciated and would make it smoother. One thing i think we need to look towards is getting more dedicated cs streamers and casters
Clearly from reading this and also the chats i had online the majority think the roster lock should be on from the start and that no new people whether they have played for another clan or not can play.
Frankie I told you like 10x now... no one missed it/over looked it... everyone except 7th already thought this was just a known fact that you cant recruit people weeks into the tournament and expect them to play... so no one 'thought' to have to explain this to you.
Luckily its been sorted now and the hammer has been down on it by Dave... but you can basically see the full majority on the issue anyway... problem solved.
I asked Army multiple times if whether we recruited someone who hadn't played in the tourney yet would he be allowed to play in the tourney, and the answer was YES, so don't give me crap about "it's a known fact that you cant recruit people weeks into the tournament and expect them to play". You can't just change rules half way through a tourney because certain people don't like those rules.
If Scar shows up he may or may not be playing and I won't listen to anyone who says anything to the contrary because the rules clearly state he is allowed to play.
and efkan actually made a 'gentlemanship' thread when he has a classless ****bag like you for a teammate. You are literally the only person in a tournament like this who would try and strengthen your team in the semi finals when for every TOURNAMENT and WAR there are roster locks from the day of signups for a reason... once again showing how ****ing scared you are.
And army claims no one mentioned even once about using a new member who was just recruited

On to the matches:
At this point I have spoken to hetaroi and zola about streaming, if anyone is interested in co-casting or streaming themselves send me a message.

He is not allowed to play! Get over it. The Head of CS has decided.
