Had two times today that games went out of sync in 1.6 without anyone dropping. In both cases we tried to restore and in both cases the restore went out of sync again within 10 seconds.
In 1.5rc never had desync in 1000 games played unless multiple people were dropping at same time.
Just wondering, we have many similar complaints from people playing 1.5 RC + 1.6 Game Data instead of 1.6 RC + 1.6 Game Data. Could you please confirm, that you were playing with the correct game settings?
Not sure how I can see civs of a savegame? In start screen you only see civ after the players join. And game was never completed so there are no voobly stats.
My own civs were saracens in first and berbers in second.

Pretty sure it was 1.6 RC + 1.6 Game Data; I was hosting both. You can't see it from save games?
It's working great except for this issue now. It went out of synch 4/5 times yesterday when I played it. I think it might be that some people don't have all the updated downloaded.
Saw someone else post the recording of the desync game and had the idea to check the recording for the civ:

The bad news: The only overlap is Celts, and they don't have any weird new mechanisms.
Guys, v1.6 game data is meant to be played with patch v1.6 RC.
In order to this to work properly, add the entire age 2 folder and also the voobly folder to the list of exceptions or your anti virus and to the list of exceptions of your firewall. Besides that, don't use v1.5 RC with v1.6 game data.
