When I try download a mod (for example: https://www.voobly.com/gamemods/mod/1115/Interactive-Build-Order-Guide) or any other
I get this error message:
Could not find game installation directory -- please join a lobby and run game diagnostics

When I run the 'Game Diagnostic'
I tells me everything seems to work.
I am able to play game but not installing mods..
I unistalled the game and Voobly.
I donwloaded it again but I still have this issue !

Please try [You must login to view link] and make sure UAC is enabled

My game were downloaded from steam with the steam client.
I don't have any CD-ROM as mentionned in the link you provided..
What do you call UAC ??

The game Voobly locates is not the steam version. It also seem like you've been using a third party program to install your game with. Please uninstall that program and rename the Age of empires II folder to something else.

Afterwards, reboot the client and manually locate the steam version of the game

UAC = [You must login to view link] and [You must login to view link].
