the map was fine even bofore he touched it. sounds like a lot of wasted time to me.
How about a short league for RCB and pick the top 8 players of that and have one final FFA game or a bo5 FFA games to justify a winner.
The final games can be played with the same civ.
I think that's the best option for a FFA tournament.
You could also just reset the rcb ladder instead. What would you need a league for when you have a whole ladder for the map?
Also, playing an 8 player ffa game with same civ? This will be boring and still not fair, as some will feed more than others.

Reset ladder will be cool +1 ,i say before its needed, but also tourney better at decide whos the best as ladder about who play more,so do both

Yes a FFA same civ.
Set a league in which players enter and play 8 player FFA with all random Civs. Do it for 2-3 months. Then, gather the Top 8 players and schedule a date for a Bo5 FFA, all rounds can be mirror. Only 8 spots and many rcb'rs. It could turn out to be quite the competition.
You want a FFA tournament decided by luck?
You say feeding could be a issue. A Hun next to Spain can be an issue. Hun and Spain can both go villagers and feed each other the entire game.
What if you are..
sarra in middle of Turk and Teuton?
Maya in middle of Hun and persa ?
would you not rather be goth vs goth or Aztec vs Aztec? etc....
Who is the best with civ? Or choices of hero? Should you imp or not imp?
That's just my thoughts. If you all want a FFA to be based on civ. Well, let it be it then.
I could ask for a League to be added to VCOM that awards points and deducts them for rated games. With the RCB F12 rated and only allowed to be rated, if atleast 8 players are playing it.
The top 8 of that League get invited to a special FFA tournament after the League has finished.
However, this method may inflict a blow on the active community and result in less games played overall, because competitive players spend time playing for the League, meanwhile casual players just want to play, but may not be so successful due to the lack of players.

Well then,
I really don't see how this is going to work. You could test it for a week or 2, and see how it's working out.
You'll never know till you try it.
Perhaps a tg tournament would be best.

It was setup wherein 8 players must be in the game ffa for league I may actually come back to play that. That's imo, how it should be forced to be played at all times due to balance issues in the map. People would riot if they were forced to play that way 100% of the time though.

go play 1v1 or Tg if you want mirror... you dont seem to understand the concept of ffa.

you shouldnt make a league when there is a ladder only for RCB already. just reset it and you already have your league-like ladder.
This is a true statement.

Yep, it was, it was also "fine."
