i prefer make some groups of sign uped players,top2/3 of each group go for final round which have top2/3 players of each group, and then points used or most winner of some set of games
using points is bit unfair in ffa games
so... who's the "top 2/3 players" of an ffa game in your opinion? you have to determine those.

The following was his idea.
Edit!

Another idea is to setup the tournament with groups and rounds.
Each group will play maximum of 4 games to determine 4 players who will play in the next round. Let's say that in round 1 you have 4 groups of 8 players. The winner of first game will advance to the next round and the remaining 7 will now play another game. The winner of the game with 7 players will also advance, and so will the winners of the 6 player and 5 player game.
This way you will get 4 players from each group to advance to the next round that will then have 2 groups of 8 players. The format continues and 4 winners from both groups will advance to the final round in which 3 games will be played to determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place players.

The points to be given usually in FFA have been the following for an 8p game.

12 - the winner
9 - 7th to die
7 - 6th to die
5 - 5th to die
4 - 4th to die
3 - 3rd to die
2 - 2nd to die
1 - 1st to die

I suppose special points could be given out for certain milestones like the 2000 kills you proposed, perhaps even for heroes owned?
good idea.
hero's owned or super units owned.
what if killing an enemy pyramid= points.?
all sound good to me. but like fugz said" it will be a lot of work. someone would have to watch these games and keep track.
mora than one person is needed for this. I am willing to help.

i prefer suchens idea over just randomly giving people points on their dying order. although in suchens approach the spots arent fair anymore (p2... i guess you know the issue)

There are more than these two ways. Just need to get the ideas to present themselves.

the winner of the first game will get bored as hell xD

i still like my idea most to be honest.
reward winner and hand out special achievements. everyone is allowed to play, spots are fair, you can shuffle the players between games so everybody can play vs everybody...

and you dont get issues when somebody has to leave or stuff like that.

someone must get p2,also in 7 ffa game someone will must p2,6 which bad spots, leave it to luck,no thing can done for this problem, maybe best thing can do if someone get red or bad spot,in his next games hes allowed to avoid these spots and rj dunno

Should just do 2v2v2v2 tournament, seeing as rcb is still sometimes played like that and was always meant to be that format (hence the base layouts)

Just seed top 2 teams, ie. highest rated team combos or tournament winners/placers and then have qualifying games leading to 1 big final 2v2v2v2 with the 2 teams seeded in and 2 other teams from qualifiers and play that like bo5 or whatever, winners will be any who win the most or something alike

As the is now, it is NOT meant to be played as 2v2v2v2. For a balance with the kings the 1:30 invincible tower is necessary so ****ty civs can at least get a decent hero early on. In TG it happens too often, that some civcombinations make it impossible to win.
Also tamer and mid are ridiculously overpowered as it is far easier to defend it with 2 players.

host a 3v3 rcb tournament? or 2v2 again if this ffa idea cant be worked out.

But if you want to do the ffa approach I suggest having as people said before some milestones or point markers for how many pyramids you kill & maybe for total kills (either person with most kills in the game or 2k + kills in the game)

Or if you want to drive some incentive maybe put a point tally on heroes themselves. For example Harald is the most kings to use as well as the most risky in game itself. You already know its likely you will be teamed up on if you choose to go Harald so for example you take 8 pts for going harald. 6 for middle/khan and keep going down the list say Robin at 4 will be the lowest and you take 1 pt.
