So they can be 1-0 with two random games left? I don't like it. I think giving them one map that can't be vetoed is enough. At least it gives them an opportunity to play their favourite map each time.
I am proposing keep 1v1 and 2v2 bo3 throughout entire tournament. Keep 1v1 3 x random map played simultaneously by three individual players per team. 2v2 can be a home map pick each, since there's elements of teamwork that can be planned during scheduling - and use a random decider.
The non seeds can keep their immunity over an entire set. My advice is to save it for the 3v3/4v4 stage on a map they're confident of winning so they can get a point from it.

I think taking out picks from the 1v1 and having just bo3's in both 1v1/2v2 sets will in the end just make games much more boring... you're talking about having 3 total home maps over an entire series (1 in 2v2 and 2 in 3v3/4v4) if the tournament is like last TIW there was over 17 maps to pick from and im sure atleast a few of those will be just 'lame picks' that you know your opponent is weaker in.
So in my opinion should be a similar setup to last TIW with atleast one of the first 2 sets being a bo5.. and the 3v3/4v4 being its usual bo5.
Heres what I have in mind to summarize.
1v1 bo3 (3 simultaneous 1v1s) to save time.. you pick one for your HM.. one for your opponents HM and one for the random map
Just keep 1v1/2v2 as bo3 and worth 1 point throughout the whole tournament ****
I also dont know why you're hell bent on giving non seeded teams an 'advantage'. This tournament is to determine the best clan, if they aren't good enough they lose and will expect to, and hopefully this will provide motivation to improve.
Giving them an 'extra' advantage will only cause arguments down the line. It's like playing the champions league and letting one of the teams start 1-0 up. Just dumb.
Well the advantage is more an opportunity to compete and it is only a small advantage i wouldnt go as far as to say giving them a goal up in football terms (that would mean giving them a point to start with). Its more like the financial fair play rules to help other clubs compete, I do get your point however. One immunity also assures that they will get a chance to play their best map. Even with an immunity they are still going to have to practice all the other maps. But knowing that they will diffently get a chance to play to their best map throughout gives more motivation to continue playing

It's not a dig mate. Look back at TaoE and LC losing motivation to play games after group stage was finished. Now we're opening the floor to groups who have little to nothing to do with the community who can play maps outside of the CB genre.
Having 4 clans where some can't play nice is a recipe to deride a tournament like this. People are still fighting over a Gwarz from Random Lite tournament.
Just worry about your clan and getting them to show up for the tourney Ben.. 7th have never done anything but play fair. If you believe otherwise then show me the evidence.

I mean, the part about eot is kind of fair (although it was veni, not the whole of eot), but we all saw the lag and it was literally like a slideshow, however it does not excuse his behavior.
Most of taoes issues were with taoe. Riv leaving, half of them not caring, and then trying to use two different smurfs in a tournament (dace and efkan). Taoe are not exactly saints, but everybody forgets the **** other clans have done in order to attack the big bad eot and 7th.
For this to work everybody has to be on the same page and transparent with what is going on, these stupid snide remarks towards 7th and eot need to stop from everybody, we need to bury the past (that includes eot and 7th) and we need to make the newer clans such as epic, X family etc feel welcome. I honestly doubt most of them give a **** about a handicap, and just want to be a part of this tournie (at least from the interest shown so far) and play games. Imagine a tournament where we are all transparent, dont talk ****, and have good games. Is this a fantasy? Probably.
a lot of things would have went differently if it was up to me starting with taoe never being part of TIW or i could have taken more control over su/pig but i have no regrets in anything as i had fun playing with them and seeing them improve the way they have since the first time i found these two wonderful italians in npl
