Hi can someone explain to me how to play AOE on here? I don't get it all I can see are messages posted on forums.

I am trying to install Voobly client but I get an error message saying I don't have access to the file or path. Any ideas? The Starting guide has not been helpful for this problem.

assuming you have w7, right click the file and install as the admin and in compatibility mode to xpsp3
the game/client should be installed to
:program files[86]/
if you have the 64bit w7.

my goodness< I'm so lost! downloaded all and I still don"t know where to go to play...this is a little frustrating

did you install age of kings, then conquerors, then the 1.0c (or 1.0e patch)?
did you install voobly?
if yes, open voobly client, in the browser pick a lobby, like medieval siege for random map, custom scenario or death match lobby (if you are new its recommended the new player lobby too).
then finally join a game you like, or host your own.

does voobly works on mac? bcs i cant install the voobly desktop thing...

I suggest you use a virtual machine to play on voobly.
