I know Hall of Fames always create arguments but how about we create one just for Ladder / Tournament winners?

With seperate sections for Masters series winners and general tounrament / ladder winners.

This won't be voted on, you have to actually win one, so should not attract the usual trolling etc.

Thoughts?

We can also add all the past winners of tournaments adding some history to the Hall of Fame.

Yes Dave something like that....with the Voobly player profiles and also a link to each events forum for the brackets and recorded games.

Yeah something like that dave, thats a good list of some of the tourneys hosted that no records are left for as well. What we need to do is look over all the tourneys that can be remembered over the last few years and list all the winners, runners up and third place players

We can get someone to create a really good page and I will get it hosted on Voobly.

Maybe a link on the home page to it and also from this forum

That sounds fantastic , Efkan suggested this a while back and to be honest......

it sounds nice, a ladder based on tournament wins rather then points.

I think a tournament hall of fame is reasonable.
The one we attempted to do for AOC-CS was a complete fail.
Going into the past is always tricky, but if you were to only include the IGZ/Voobly era it would probably be reasonable.
Also should consider what to do with people like Damian who have won multiple tournaments on multiple accounts. Do you list the individuals history collectively or just the history of the particular username that won the tournament.

Good point on the players multiple usernames. If it's a known username then I would say the Hall of Fame should show who they actually are maybe in brackets.

Ok then the first thing we need to do is list all the tournaments that have been hosted on voobly and see if we can find any records of who finished where

Already started that mate.......it's in Events archive folder here.

Feel free to add anything that I haven't yet.

Also getting some more Sub forums created on the Archived Tournaments of Voobly so we can collate everything in one place for each tournament.
