The other day I was casually playing SS and noticed the Sab's are quite weak when you compare them to games like Desert Blood. It takes longer to kill heros in SS (only 100 ap) than Desert Blood (500+ ap?). Both Desert blood and SS have heros in them and normal Sab's can't do effective jobs in killing heros.
So I am just wanting to ask whether this could change in the new map pack when it's released?
Yeah it would do to much damage to castles. Also Saboteurs arn't really made for killing heros or units. Saboteurs were made for destroying buildings and have always been used that way. Except for units such as normal archers in bloods such as smosh.
A simple fix for both Desert and SS would be to add unit bonuses of about 500 (so Elite elephants die) so they function the same as AoK sabs. Note that this requires a required, but simple data mod.
True, but I dont think change to the sabs is needed. Like I said saboteurs are not used for killing units, excpet for maybe weak units, with 100- Health.
Except that's exactly what they were used for in AoK, which both of those mentioned scenarios were widely played. Sabs were a one-hit kill on any unit. AoC changed this for some reason.
Yeah nevermind that haha. I dont know what I was talking about tbh. Donnie or Master_G just make it so it kills units on the squares after every 4-6 seconds. So if you step on it on accident it doesnt kill your units .

I just played a 1v1 ss with Archy a month ago.
and when i went to attack his castle some of my men go on his
So when hes attaacking me (and losing 30 men)
and i have a man on his spawn(or more then one man)
Then he cant spawn men.
Its pretty much gg for him.
Especially if i sit there and attack his men and not his castle.
he cant spawn= gg
