Can't access new player lobby, my account is new

Not sure if this is linked to my VPN or because I use Linux.
I just created this account but I can't join the New player lobby, why? I tried playing a new match on the siege lobby but of course I lost, why am I unable to access the new one?
I show a 1600 rating on matches but I haven't played more than 1 match, is that the standard?
