I tried to play a game on GameRanger but everyone was using version 1.0, and when I launched my game, a Voobly branded launcher popped up with a list of versions to choose from, from 1.0c to 1.5 to 1.6 Destruction, but there was no "1.0" version available.

Is there a way to be able to revert to 1.0 to play outside of Voobly, or does Voobly intend to prevent the game from being played on other servers?

I'm basically asking how to "unbreak" the game back to its original state of 1.0 (untouched CD version expansion)

if voobly is able to help with resolution in 1.0 that is cool, but probably the most practical solution would be a way to "unvooblify" the game if someone is looking for a pure experience

so.. is there a way to add 1.0 to the list that voobly offers? trying to make a fresh install separate from voobly didn't work as voobly also detected and force updated that, so it seems doing it however voobly wants to force it to be is the way to do it.. im just a humble peeon bowing to the whims of this great platform!

That patch 1.0 you are referring to is an unofficial game mod, which is why it's not included in the patch launcher.

I am not referring to any mod, unofficial or otherwise, unless you count the conquerors expansion CD as a mod?

[You must login to view link] based on this i thought 1.0 was the pure unmodified conquerors expansion itself, which is what I and most people grew up playing, and many consider to be the best balanced RTS of all time.

1.0 is from August 24th, 2000. it should match a checksum with 1.0 to be considered 1.0.. if it was modified in anyway then it can no longer be considered 1.0.. or am i missing something?

Only the latest official patch is supported which is 1.0c, no previous patch releases. Furthermore, the mod that ships the changes from the "official patch 1.0" is just an unofficial mod on Voobly, which isn't supported by our patch selector. And of course we only support the last two versions of the patch, e. g. 1.6 (current stable) and 1.5 (old stable).
