1.5 works ok.
1.6 crash.
I have new notebook, I deleted everything, reinstalled, settings in room are ok, ... Dunno how get it to work, can u pls help ?

Without error reports, there's nothing we can do.

I tried many various settings, but 1.6 always crashed.
I joined as spectator so for them it sure works.
Here fresh log ( I deleted it, then I started Voobly )

1. With some settings I managed BadImage.png.

2. With some another settings it started and writte yellow screen with big red triangle, talking about wrong 1.6

3. With some another settings it started in single player window, I could start game but there were errors e.g. F2 civ chart there were very many times in combobox written Britons etc. = clearly wrong start, some error...

Try a clean instalation, maybe the game is not in the correct folder.

I have good news. That I am such an ****, I broken my Windows by optimizations like disabling devices and uninstalling optional things ...
Now I did test: into Virtual Oracle Box I installed Windows, there kings, conquerors, voobly, and
I didnt need to change anything, it just works. 1.6 game spectating works ok.
-> So I must repair my broken Windows...

The last error message indicates a missing video codec. However, I have no idea where this would come from, since I don't think this game has videos compressed with a codec usually not supported by windows. Plus you don't see any videos when playing on voobly anyways. Is it original software? You could try download the codec from [You must login to view link] >> "Codinstl" which supports "IV50 videos". But i don't think this would solve the other issues.

I installed VLC Video Lan, I tested runned these movies { .avi, .mkv, .wmv, .mp4 } it all works video and also sound.

I installed also Codinstl which you advised me. Then I retested avi,mkv,wmv,mp4 it all works.

With some Game Room { there menu Game } settings ( not Mod and Patch settings ) it previous day started initial videos of AoE2 so ... there is error msg about videos. It dont anymore ( that is good ).

Now I tried wrong settings just for test, and, I include pictures that show that it at least shows 2.png.
When I change Patch from v1.5RC to v1.6RC it either crashes, or, shows black screen from which is quite problem to go away ( no alt-tab, no ctrl-shift-esc, only keyboard Window key displayes it and there from taskbar I can close it)

Please paste us the result of the game diagnostics.

I solved by TOTAL COMPLETE REINSTALL of WHOLE NOTEBOOK
