Dynamic IP via mobile data

I'm using mobile data to access the internet, and my IP changes quite frequently (once in a few hours). If I'm in a game when that happens, the connection is lost and it can't recover. I contacted my ISP, but unfortunately they don't provide static IP addresses for mobile data.

I understand that the connection is p2p, but I don't quite see why the other people wouldn't bee able to reconnect to my new IP address. Is there a way to allow such reconnection?

Thank you!

Thanks, that guide clarified some things. I have a new question now. Does this setting allow to change the internal port (local port) or the external port (the one on my router)?

My ISP said they don't provide individual static IP per se, but they can provide an individual port. So, a direct connection to my router can be established but only via the port they provide. If that port is 4444, let's say, what do I do?

In order to play on Voobly, you have to forward a single port which is UDP 16000 by default. This option allows you to change the port to something else, e. g. to UDP 4444 if you require it. :)

In you router, you then configure both, inbound and outbound to this port, e. g. UDP 4444.
