Isn't it problem of voobly and not of the patch? Game kept running during this and only showed me disconnecting to everyone, it was voobly that crashed.
We are still stuck on a broken version / EOL version of Qt. As long as we have so many players who refuse to update their operating system from Windows 7 to something else, we have to live with those random crashes. Windows 10 will go EOL in about 10 months and they are still using Windows 7...
If they are backwards compatible so the source code doesn't have to be different would it be possible to release a version with the latest QT and one with the old one without too much trouble? Or are they not?
That's correct. We were never able to fix all crashing issues. When we upgraded Voobly to the latest Qt5 framework, it of course got so much better for Windows 10 and Windows 11 users. But we never were able to get rid of all the crashing issues. This would require an upgrade to the latest version of Qt6, but we would lose support for all older operating systems and only Windows 10 and Windows 11 would be supported.

Hmm I guess problem in general is using quicktime with these paid licenses and expiring versions, I guess best solution would be to make a client without quicktime?! since voobly client graphics don't really need something like quicktime anyway because there are no advanced graphics?
What language is voobly written in? How difficult would it be to recreate a basic interface using standard libraries and windows elements?
Or is this about quicktime being used for the game itself?
Not sure why previous was closed? Problem was not fixed and still occurs sometimes... Today two times in same game, once for me once for someone else.
Finally managed to copy the files before restarting voobly (usually try to get back fast so people dont leave and can try to restore)
