I have installed age of empires II through steam.

I have added the game directory and getting successful game diagnostics.(Screenshot 1.1) and network diagnostic (Screenshot 1.2)

However when i launch a lobby, it goes into Voobly Downloading Update (Screenshot 2), however after few seconds it gives an error "Could not find game installation directory -- please join a lobby and run game diagnostics" (Screenshot 3)

Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried following -
* disabled anti-virus
* tried to restart my PC, Voobly, router

We have released a new article in our Knowledge Base. Please follow all steps in the Knowledge Base article and let us know, whether this fixes the problem "Could not find Game Installation Directory -- please join a lobby and run game diagnostics" for you:

I faced same issue today on Ms in addition to disability to play on NPL, I DID reconnect to solve this issue

Unfortunately no one in the community was willing to help us to provide technical support articles for AoE I, especially a clean installation tutorial would help most new players.
