Pretty obvious a team of Fran/Cena/Andreas and maybe Vezir/Bayor would be formed and using those setting there would be no clan or team strong enough to beat it all round. Even discounting the final two names thats three of the best all round players of all time. You are going to end with a best case scenario of two super teams again and smaller clans without a lot of all rounders will not have a chance in hell.

There is nothing stopping you guys from combining XceL and 7th and any other clan to make a super third team while still allowing clans like RB/IC etc to utilize a more varied roster to attempt to compete.
There are only 4 clans
Eot, xCs, IC, R'B.
I am sure that xCs can get 2 equally good and competitive teams, since they only used 5 players to beat Eot.
My clan could make 2 teams, one complete, and another of cb's that could learn bloods in the time left to train.
Another team could be 7th+dv8 + xcel + vicious, but they don't seem very interested in merge.

You thinking xCs can get two teams for this or any team can get two 'viable' teams to play is a joke. xCs used 6 consistent players for majority of maps. Eot used 5.. we had a few niche players play other maps like wolf and playmobil which played CB's because we dont have as much depth in those. Each team will be fielding 1 roster. If xCs somehow fields a second roster they would be losing to RB most likely.
Had a debate with Camp on RB discord and he did make a good point to me about the abuse of using RMers in the competition, even RMers who are in the clan long term.
Perhaps an 8 man limit would serve the purpose of at least preventing any RM players being drafted for europe. Gives you room to field a CB and a bloods team with the hope that a few of the members can pull double duty to fill in the blanks. This really feels like the reasonable compromise and would allow a few inactive clans to combine forces to make a formidable entry.

Well, there are no easy answers since there is not a lot of activity at the moment. If there was we would have more options to work with. The good players are not concentrated in one or two clans like in the past, which is a good thing, but it is also a problem when you want to play 4v4's. To combat this problem in my opinion it is better to do 3v3s.
I vote for people being able to make the teams they want (regardless who is in who's clan), but then the problem of pro player hoarding comes up. To combat that I suggest the roster of teams to be max 3 players. There are still enough players on Voobly to create a few all-around strong 3v3 teams, but anything more then that is too ambitious in my opinion.
So then this time around TIW can be more like a real tournament. The last two TIWs were more like all clans warring each other to see who is 1#. This time around let it be more like a traditional tournament(hence you can form teams, max 3 players a team).
Making it 3 roster teams means its just a regular all round tournament and no hero players will show. You will end up with 4 teams more than likely.
You can disable veto's against CB's to encourage CB players to show, which is only fair since they are the most played maps. For example Hero, Cba and RCB shouldn't be able to get veto'd. It has always been ludicrous for me to be able to veto CB's anyway. Whether we like it or not. CS means CB's.
Dy was lacking efkan one of the key player of dy against xcs and xcs was playing on their terms against us and thumps their chest like they won us fair and square... We had only Zanchy who we relied on bloods and he get us those wins.. I dont even want to talk about games javi played..
As for tiw dy will play and i suggest let people participate as they wish in the form of clan or teams. Regarding roster lock clans should not be able to add any player after participating or any given date by army...
