Can not play AOE 2 conquerer in Win 10

hello. I used to pay AOE 2 COnquerers in voobly for long. But now im using windows 10.

So I just created this account. and want to see if I can play multiplayer. When I go to watch games of others, I get this error "could not initialize the graphics system. make sure video card and drivers are compatible with direct draw"

I can run the expansion (on compatibility win SP2) but when I go to play skirmish. I press start it loads and shows something went wrong/ unexpected error like that and the game does not run.


How to solve, please.

hi
if you have the steam version follow this tutorial for a good install: https://support.voobly.com/display/vkb/KB1054+Clean+installation+of+Aoe2HD+with+compatibility+patch
you need to make sure your pc firewall allows voobly and the game through.
