What happens when someone disconnects after losing?

Can someone explain to me what happens when an opponent disconnects in the middle of the game? A guy just disconnected after losing a bunch of vils and I haven't received points for the win. It keeps saying "connection to [My_Opponents_Name] is not repsonsive (failure: peer check)> in our match lobby

Just wondering if I can just leave this untouched and expect to get those points and win eventually.

Hello, Varz I just wanna give you a little deeper detail what happen! That means he (lagged) out of Voobly and is stuck in the game. Please wait for him to restart Voobly and you will receive the win/points as soon as he does.
