I have this issue with Voobly aoe2, with HD version shadows don't flick. This happen also when I'm watching an aoe2 video on Youtube and I am in fullscreen mode. I've spent days trying to fix this but i don't know what to do, it's really frustrating. I tried to lower resolution in game (because if i'm watching a video not in fullscreen mode shadows don't flick) but with no result. Can someone help me? thank you

Make sure all these settings(steps 1-3) are enabled in the game room settings:

You may then test via Voobly single player mode:

If that doesn't help then try compatibility options:

Edit: It's definitely hardware related. Try mess with the settings/buttons on your monitor and let us know if it did anything for you.

having same problem, works for my smaller 19 inch monitor but not on my TV, getting fog of war fli ckering

What is your TV resolution? Are you playing the game at your default resolution for your television or is it a custom resolution?

Are you using a single monitor display or dual monitor setup?

Also disable display scaling in windows.
