I recently tried to install Voobly however I got a bit stuck with the installation.

Now I followed this guide, but still needed to install the [You must login to view link] manually. I had to link the path to the installation folder of AOE2 manually and remove `/new folder`. This got me up to this point, and I currently cannot find any other steps I can take to solve this issue.

so you have the steam version?
i suggest you uninstall the game etc, remove all folders, reboot. then follow the guide again.

Yes, I got the steam version.

Still get the same error message.

Has it maybe to do that I install AOE in my D: folder instead of my C: folder?

using the tutorial there is a step to link your install to voobly so it finds it. does voobly install anything automatically?

Running Voobly and starting AOE from steam started some installation processes and got it working.
