Can't start AoE2 in Voobly

I installed AoE2 (with all expansions) on Steam and wanted to play on voobly but then always this problem occurs and so I downloaded and installed the 1.0c compatibility pack for Age2HD but it's too complicated for me to fix it. HELP

the patches will not install (at step 4) .... also steam installs the game in a different folder ...

its the directory that matters i think.
uninstall everything, del the foldrs. reboot. now reinstall as per the link.
