Ok first of all i would like to open up a discussion on the possibility of hosting This is War in 2018. I will start by saying i only want to hear mature responses anything else will be deleted.
I know we tried in 2017 with floating the possibility of doing it and for one reason or another it just never happened. Anyways I think it would be a bit ambitious to try and achieve the numbers we had involved in 2016, but it would still be nice to have a good turnout.
Whilst I am open to suggestions on rules/possible changes etc.... id prefer to leave that for another discussion as for now we don't have even any indicator of a date or for that matter and much more importantly a level of interest as in which clans would be interested in taking part. But of course do share your thoughts and of course keep it clean its appreciated.
Naturally I would be especially keen to find out the thoughts especially on those who played before, but im also keen to find out about other clans who would be keen to take part in this event.
Im open to those discussions but the problem ive seen in the past is even those with large rosters struggled to get player numbers on the day, mostly it was down to who was organised or not. Personally I would like to even see a and b teams but i think its best to leave that to a clans descretion
And by that I dont mean the map pool in particular but the balance between these kind of maps. Last TiW was 80% Bloods/Alt, 20% CBs. Gotta change the format or rules or something to achieve a better balance.
I get your point regarding the balance but its hard to argue with the ballot box i actually think the first tiw leaned towards cbs and in the second some didnt vote for cbs thinking others would. But i am open to discuss possible changes but atm im more focused on seeing who is possibly interested and then take it from there
Like I said its not only about the map pool. Take Vicious and dv8 as an example from last TiW. Vicious play well in Bloods but are bad in CBs. dv8 was the opposite. Vicious (or any other clan) could easily avoid any CBs with their vetos while we had no chance to avoid playing Bloods. We can veto some out but still end up playing some other random Blood. If rules stay the same then its just another Bloods tournament where the final four clans will be Blood oriented clans. And that while CBs make up almost all of CS if you go by numbers of matches played.
50/50 should be a fair deal and it also makes it more appealing for the rest of CS to participate in.
