Since the new update is here today , I started playing a game .. And after 5 minutes of game play my voobly crashed and made me drop inside game where I was winning .. This is such a disappointment.

Please fix your bugs and demons and let the peace come.

Thanks!

Please find your voobly folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Voobly) and upload Voobly.txt, Voobly(1).txt etc. + minidump (1).dmp to this topic. this helps us finding the cause of the error. You'll have to click "Quick reply" before you type anything to see the upload options of the forum.

Edit: hotfix was released. Can you let us know, if you still experience these crashes, plz? thank you

It will update automatically when you login/relogin to Voobly (i.e. if you are not already using the fix)

Side note: The issue prevails.

Good afternoon guys :)

I am also experiencing this problem.
I was able to play AoE 2 games yesterday in the NPL without any issues.
Unfortunately, as of today, I have not been able to successfully launch the Voobly game client
or play any games.

When I launch the game client it freezes, endlessly saying "Downloading Unknown Update"

I get these error messages too:

14:14:34 Application started
14:14:34 Loading 'gui.dll'...
14:14:34 Debug assert failed on line 21 of ../../common/core/platform.cpp.

Hope my post helps narrow down where the problem is occurring.

Solutions I have tried:
1. Uninstalling and reinstalling Voobly

However the issue still prevails.

Thanks for reading and good luck finding the fix :)

EDIT 1:
I can't seem to download the latest game client update either :/
I always get this message when I try to open the link to the "v2.2.5.38.exe" update:

"This site can’t be reached
update.voobly.com took too long to respond.
Go to http://voobly.com/
Search Google for update voobly updates
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT"

My internet is perfectly fine by the way. I just can't seem to access the page of the latest update

EDIT 2
Time: 8/11/17 8:09PM
Resolved my issues by downloading the v2.2.5.38 update.
I had to use my phone to download the .exe file though haha, since my computer for some reason can't open the link to the update file without getting a google connection error.
I transferred the .exe file from my phone to my computer via usb/charging cord.
After doing so, I ran the update file in my computer and everything went back to normal.

ALL GOOD
