A friend of mine is making the move from HD to voobly - he opened a lobby to setup his hotkeys at single player menu. A few seconds later the game closed and a message popped up saying something about auto hotkeys not allowed. He uninstalled auto hotkeys and tried to log back in, but his account has been banned. He tried to make a new account, but that has been banned as well.

He is not trying to do anything dodgy, hasn't even played any games on Voobly as yet, just a new player trying to get setup.

I've let him know that i can assist with moving his hotkeys over from HD (without auto hotkeys) once he can access his account again.

The account you mentioned above is not banned. The other accounts however are. Please note that the use of Autohotkey is not allowed on Voobly and as long as he stays out of it he should be fine using that account.
