HOTKEY ISSUE ON AOE 2

I have specific hotkeys set on steam that don't work on Voob. Say i want to set economic building to A and patrol to A, is there any way to do this? Considering villies don't patrol and military doesn't build, there should be a patch or something.

This topic has been discussed several times and I do not suppose this is possible because the two games handle hotkeys in completely different ways.

I have overlapping hotkeys that work just fine on Voobly (e.g. formations and stances on hotkeys for buildings). All you should have to do is:
1.Make a copy of your HD .hki file
2.Rename it player1.hki
3.Drop it in your main AoE installation folder
4.Start a game in SP so the hotkeys are registered properly

Did you do all this? If yes, what's the specific problem, is it *only* the overlapping hotkeys that don't work, everything else from the file does?
