Me and Army1 are planning to host the first CS $ tournament, I want to hear peoples ideas on what kind of settings we should use. Here is something I sent to Army1 recently, want players opinions on it.
Hey mate I been thinking of ideas what I'm thinking now is doing 4 weeks of a 1v1 tournament every week
Each individual tournament will have a prizepool of $50 and whoever has the best performances in all 4 (most 1st places or highest finishes if no one wins more than once) will win another $100 on top.
1st CBA Hero
2nd RCB
3rd Veteran
4th Herofest
Maps aren't set in stone, just maps that I think are pretty simple and people have show interest in recently.
Probably, but if I win any of the tournaments I will put the money to the final prizepool and if I win overall I will put the money to the next tournament prizepool.
What people think about doing some kind of TIW 1v1 variation instead? That was my first idea but thought it might be a bit too complicated.
such event should got most of maps so all can play,1st CBA hero,2st RCB is fine, but 3rd and 4th shouldnt stick on 1 blood map i think,i remember aok blood masters tourney setting maybe will be good for this,3rd one is a blood tourney which each round have its own 4 maps pool and 1 selected at decider, each player chose his home map if its end 1-1 they play decider and so,4th one can be mini, cbf and other castle bloods maps
Anyway this will be great

something like TIW is more interesting but will you do it with scheduling or only on certain days?
There should be 1v1 Random map too , and to avoid tie scores like if someone won two tourneys and other player won two , the 5th tournament can be the decider for them to get the 100$.
if you're putting your own $$ into the tournament just run it how you want to/ how you see fit.
But outside opinion probably something along the lines of a TIW type thing would work best and if the sets will be bo3 have the 3rd match be a full rdm type map (have a pack with all maps you can pick from in that pack) and just let luck decide from there.
Bait posts will be deleted, please do not derail this thread.
Edit: This is why we were looking to invite major clans to the committee so that the clans discuss the topics amongst themselves and then their representative will share all the important remarks about the topic, in stead of having trolls and poorly written ideas or flame war baiting/insulting posts.

I beg your pardon sir, people like Vetz 1v1 far more than Smosh 1v1.
