Game crashs when open by voobly with the patchs

Hi,
Im having a little problem, when I open the game direct it works fine, but when a I lanch with voobly (with balance patchs) game starts, show the intro but it stops working before ir reaches the menu.
Im using windows 8.

If anyone could help me...

hi i am having the same problem i think. I can open the game on voobly and play the computer. but if i try to play black forrest, Arabia, green arabia, or any cba it will let the host start but never get to the game. it will stay in loading for basically ever unless i back out. ive attempted and had same issue at least 4 times.

do you mean you cannt get in to the civ set up screen or in to the game proper? you ever see a ping 30?
are there any error messages at all?
i see you have played some games today, has your problem resolved itself?
