Germs Lite sounds fine. I don't think people would mind keeping it as Germs Blood v<number>, though. Something like Germs Blood Fix or Remix (lol) or w/e it's cool.
The map itself keeps the same layout and same idea/start. And I like the new changes, hopefull this will kill the camping/laming style.
PS: Limiting jannisaries to like 20 units would work too, like Ben did on his Germs 1v1 Tournament.
Wouldn't be much point but I have no problem in it being called germs lite.
All those people who play germs at the moment can still play .... wait a second.
I should add that many of the unit changes were Ben's ideas. Don't want him to lose out on the outpouring of affection and gratitude.

I made germs v2
7th/Eot/random lamers killed germs already.
