Hi all,

Just set everything up to run AoE and greeted with the message: <Cannot find: C:\Program Files (x86)\Voobly\gamedata\AOK\empires2.dat>

Any advice?

Hi

First try open the game Directory/data folder eg:C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Data ,copy and then paste empires2.dat to C:\Program Files (x86)\Voobly\gamedata\aok

If still stuck then reinstall Voobly:
https://support.voobly.com/display/vkb/KB1053+Clean+installation+of+Voobly+client

And if that don't work try to reinstallation of game.
https://support.voobly.com/display/vkb/KB1019+Clean+installation+of+Age+of+Empires+II+with+the+latest+patches
Make sure you install the Age of Kings game the same as in the tutorial I linked, and install the game patch for it.
If you also have the conquerors expansion then you can already install it otherwise only follow instructions for Age of Kings.
