Brazil is still a 3rd world country by many definitions (there is some slack as to how countries are classified though), nowdays the nicer term 'Developing country' is used, but it is still one of the poorer countries in the world, and is still classified the same as other 'developing countries'

This is not the point though, the point is, to refer to it as racism is wrong and stupid, and people like you are the reason why certain religious groups cry out racism when people disagree with them.

Would it have been better if he referred to them as people from a less economically developed country? Is calling Britain or America a first world country racism? Are you actually aware what racism is? This is discrimination at worst (although it really isn't, it's just fact), and throwing around the word 'racism' in cases when it is not racism is damaging and ignorant, just like when muslims use the term racism to refer to islamophobia. Shame on you.

If you want to ban him from your tournaments or award him no points for stating a fact, that is up to you, it is your tournament. However, using the term racism to describe something that is NOT racism is wrong and damaging.

It doesn't matter whether its a third world country or not all it matters is his intention in making that statement.

If he is simply stating the fact that someone is from third world country then why use the F (****) word.

You're missing the point, regardless of his intentions, it is not racism.

Learn the difference between Racism and Discrimination. Racism is the worst extent when a group of people are being used against their will in disgraceful situations due to their race. Discrimination is what usually happens now.
