Colors should be the way I said. If you supposedly go erik + mams as p1 and p2/p3 and p4 on a team to someone's base one of you is certainly going to get rocked np since one of you has to trek so far and leave your base open.
Either way SS in conquerors still sucks due to weakened sabs. Be much more of a challenge if they weren't like that.

Everyone in AoK was top5 in at least a few maps according to themselves Mam + Erik is the best strategy in 2v2 (Kitabake can work too if you can't get the third king) no matter what the colours are. I personally prefer how sabs work in AoC, it's annoying to lose a game because you misclicked a sab.

Team 2 - Players 2 and 4
Otherwise as long as one of the two players on the team beats the other player then its gg and the other guy is done for.
Also, a mod should be made where sabs act the same against units and buildings. AoC SS doesn't even come close to comparing to Aok SS.
mam / erik or various other strats, team play easily over powers 1v1 on sides no matter the colours.
