How about at the end of each new Ladder / CS League event the Top 16 players qualify for a Mini Tournament.

Would make the ladders more interesting maybe?

we could use the Top 32 for the event but only 16 play.

So #17 is first substitute for a non show on the night? that way we have a good chance of actually getting 16 players together.

I think qualifications are a great idea.
http://www.voobly.com/forum/thread/89226/0 - This is really how it should be monitored also. No reason a 1725 rated player who is playing v everybody should be potentially omitted for someone who is 1730 but is only playing noobs or fixed games.

Not confident either but I thought it was an idea worth pursuing. At the moment the CS League winners receive nothing, this way we can give some prizes and recognition for the top 16 players on each ladder.
