i think the new civs suck. I dont like the new balance. I think the range mod is cheating. Sure there are some nice qol features but many are also just stupid and make the game easier but not better. Also the old maps like HC2 NAC2 or KotD Arabia are all better than DEs Arabia.
If I wanted to play DE I would play DE.
There are so many people complainging about DE so I dont understand why you put so much effort into copying it.
You should rather embrace the strenghts of this platform.

btw the permantent automatic downloads popping up for a version that i dont even want to play are really annoying

Wether you think the range mod is cheating or not, keep in mind that it works in every version of the game. The only improvement we've made is making it adaptative and I for one am proud I came up with a clever way to implement it.

As for the maps, if you actually look at the scripts we have, you'll see they are the maps from the tournaments you are citing.

I'll respect the oppinions on civs and balance, the same way I respect the discussion on the graphics. But don't complain on the efforts of people trying to move the game forward.
