Disrespecting desert wow. Someones gonna get banned from the tournament.


Making TIW Hero based isn't going to translate well, as veni said, mirror hero is not the majority game mode in the lobby, in fact its barely that much more competitive than random. More chance of new players learning simple old blood maps than older players being able to compete with those who play one map 24/7. I'm all for leaving out maps such as Dome and RCB that have steeper learning curves, the maps should be easy to get into. Desert/Nova/Smosh/Lustful/Vets/Spider/Hero/CBA/AB/KM/Europe/Rad/Gwarz would be my suggested map list. Europe might be contentious but I think there are at least three teams who would like to play the map.

The map vote is a democratic way of doing it, you'd imagine all of the common maps will be there. We've also talked at length about forcing CBA Hero once per set, I think the consensus is that it should be in, made important because it's so popular but not every round.

how can KM and euro be simple maps lol

and again, spider and desert sounds like legit obscure maps...

rest looks fine

then if hero mirror is the problem make it random / balanced, would clearly benefit us more compared to others clans though, think about it

If the sign ups for this tournament are theoretically:

xcs - hero based
eot - blood/rcb
cena team - all round
RB - only play old maps
IC - hero based
Dy* - bloods mainly

There are only two primarily hero based teams in that list, so you are suggesting that the entire tournament be catered to xcs and IC exclusively.

KM is just patrol forward or thats what it seems, how can you use CBA/Hero concepts in that map?

It's a little thing you may not have heard of called democracy, javi.

Voting is how it's always been done and it's the fairest way to do it. If the community don't want europe or km, for example, they wont get voted in so what exactly is the problem?

eot - blood/rcb - there is rcb and most common bloods in the list i suggested (only missing vetz)-

Dy* - bloods mainly - again, half maps are almost bloods and they got Hero players so... -

veto makes no sense if it doesnt take down 50% of maps, or atleast 25% of maps in the list, remember most played maps aren't more than 10 nowadays and ive read (let me know if im wrong) it could be a 20 map list...

and allowing old aok almost no played maps in the list is a meaning of certain clans will abuse on them, so newers are forced to spend a lot of time learning a damn map that they dont even enjoy or just spend their veto on it...

So what's the problem, if the majority don't want those maps, they wont be in.

If people do want them, they will be in.

What's wrong with voting on maps? I can't see a fairer way to do it.

Again, the new players are a minority in this tournament. You won't have a competitive event without older players coming back.

The time where there was any hope of growing the community is long gone. Hero dominates the lobby, hows competition?

TiW sounds more like a clan war to make old players happy, while new players who are the last chance of voobly are forced to adapt or keep getting **** on by old players who lives in past... Hosts needs to focus on the new players, if they really care about voobly status stop making happy old people who only come for play tournaments and start caring about those who give constant activity to CS. Its not about what old likes, its about what active players LIKE...
