Unsupported recording file version

Hi all,

Anyone has a clue on why do I get this error when trying to watch recordings? This started after the recent upgrade from beta R6 to R7, all games I played in R7 patch cannot be watched as recordings. On the list where u can choose your recordings to watch, the 'unsupported recording file version' is displayed on the box below.

Any suggestions?

P.S. it is not a patch or mod problem as I am using the same one, that the games were played with.

There have been some changes in the rec format in R7, that's probably why this is displayed. I think you should still be able to watch the rec, this should just affect the summary displayed in the lobby (player names and civs are usually shown there).

If launching like that doesn't work, you can also start the game in single player mode, and select the recording from the menu there.

Thanks for your replies. Recs working now, but still annoying the fact that it won't give you the game details. Still, ty for your help problem fixed on its own after a few restarts.

Same problem.
Unsuported recording file version.

And when I start:
[01:47]<The game is starting in 6 seconds...>
[01:47]<The game is starting in 4 seconds...>
[01:47]<The game is starting in 2 seconds...>
[01:47]<Error reading recording game.>

Anyone knows how and why?

PS: Singleplayer does work, but wanted to watch it with friends..

Hello, I have the same issue, even loading them in single player doesn't work. I tried to download files of different users, same result.

Loading a rec from single player doesn't work for me, I get this error "cannot load that old recorded game"...
"That old", it's a record from yesterday!

Update this thread with the match link you are referring to and we will take a look at it.
