I have been using mobile hotspot connection ever since i started off playing on voobly (around a year). For a long time, me lagging was non existant, then since december, i stopped connecting to people on few days, as in few days i connected well followed by few when i didnt, my network didnt seem to have a problem as well. a strange thing i noticed is that whenever i failed to connect to 5 people out of 7 in room, i did connect to 2 with direct connection and very good pings which make me be optimistic that there is a solution still out there.

P.S. i use windows 10

Not a techie but I have used mobile data in the past. I don't think there is anything you can do sadly, however, I did find usb tethering to be much, much better that hot-spot.
