I did following steps:
-) Install PlayOnMac
-) In PlayOnMac I selected "Install a new program" and search for Steam.
-) After Steam installation and login, I installed the game AOE II HD.
-) When the installation of AOE II was finished I close steam and use PlayOnMac to installed directplay, AOE II HD Compatibility Patch and Voobly in the same virtual device.
-) I created a separate shortcut for voobly and I started voobly.
-) After login I choose "New Player Lobby" under the section AOE II: The Conquerors. The first time I joined the Lobby I have to install RC 1.4 by clicking on the popup. After a scan I got the information that directplay seems to be correctly installed.
-) I try to host a server, but after I press Launch I just get following information:
<The game is starting in 6 seconds...>
<The game is starting in 4 seconds...>
<The game is starting in 2 seconds...>
<Game was not rated - reason: ratings were turned off>
The problem is AOE II doesn't launch! I just get these messages but nothing happens.
The steam installer i used installs autmatically the vine version:
1.7.53-steam_crossoverhack
I started voobly in debug mode do get some more information:
These are the logs when I try 3 times in a row to Launch the game:

Edit: It seems be similar to following bug report:[You must login to view link]
But I'm not sure how I can fix it.
First of all sorry for late reply.., well about your issue; You need to use [You must login to view link] and also if you're enabled the widescreen patch then you must also install .NET framework 3.
Good luck!
