In another discussion where Dm decay and reset was introduced, Solice announced that he/she would apply to VCOM if they had the power to award points to Dm tournaments (representative on how many participate).

We need more Dm representatives. Have Good or another Dm representative do a background check.

As for his conditions, I can't see no issue with awarding points when decay is active. It wouldn't be like the old days where people could leave their high account inactive and accumulate more points through tournament performances.

I think we all know the problems when awarding points as prizes however for me i think its a good idea to have points for dm tourneys for a few reasons. Firstly because we have just had a complete reset and a number complained about their points so it will help calm down some desenters on the reset. Secondly to have points especially now i think it will diffently attract a number of to dm tourneys. Would be great to see good turn outs for the tournaments, i actually also liked the idea he mentioned about giving a couple of points just for entering. I think to give even a low number of points will get more entrants. Naturally as you mentioned the amount of points given would be dependent on entrants.

I know hes talking about running alot of tournaments which i think would be great and its major commitment. I also think it would be a good idea to give other prizes as well although i think they should be alot more limited to how often we give them to make them more exlusive. As in shields and premium prizes.

Death Match clearly needs more help in promoting and getting more involved so i think giving it more prizes than we would for both cs and rm is fair enough as it simply needs more help in attracting players.

Set a criteria.

• Dm is allowed one tournament a month to award premium prizes and badges - I don't think badges should be too common to earn
• If a tournament gets at least 16 entrants, set a minimum point prize pool to be divided among 1st/2nd/3rd/4th
• If a player registers to 4 tournaments and plays (we can work around numbers), they receive a participation amount of points (let's say 20).
• Cycle through a map type each week - 1st week Oasis (Mirror) - 2nd week GA (Mirror) - 3rd week Michi (pre-set) - 4th week Premium Tournament Masters of Dm (GA/BA map - pre-set). That way we cater to all map types and player types to begin with
• Stream big stage games - try to encourage a friendly atmosphere in the Dm games and Dm tournaments - facts are Dm is plagued by egotistical assholes who don't seem to give two ****s about giving Dm a nice image to attract new players

Hopefully this combined with the clan lounge initiative can kick-start Dm into health.

Yeah i totally agree, badges shouldnt be too common as well. Id rather have a badge than points and premium tbh but i guess everyone is different. Thats a good idea about participation also and would also i think mean less smurfing, which seems to be a big problem as a whole in the lobby. Anything to encourage less smurfing is a good thing. What about 2 points for entering and a bonus 10 after 4 tournaments? For sure we need to stream big games and yep we need to try and help improve the atmosphere to make it friendlier for new players coming to it
