Introduction

Quake III Arena or Quake 3 (also known by the abbreviations Q3: A, Q3A or Q3) is a video game first person shooter released on December 2, 1999. The game was developed by id Software, with music composed by Sonic Mayhem and Front Line Assembly. Quake III Arena is the third title in the series and differs from previous games in the Quake series to exclude the common elements of the so-called single-player games, instead focusing on multiplayer action.
