Ok. I have been messaged a few times about the rating system here @ Voobly. So I have a question. Which of the two systems do you think is better?

A) Voobly's Rating system
B) ESO's Rating system.

We are willing to adapt the ESO Rating system if the community would prefer it over ours.

ESO Rating system. 2v2 should be equal to 1v1.

I think keep Voobly rating system, but make teamgames and 1v1 the same. Using the eso system, once you get 100 points higher than someone there is almost no reason to play them because of how little points you get.

With voobly system, u can be like 200+ points ahead of them, and still get a reasonable amount of points for winning. It does inflate overall rating, but it also gives noobs a chance to play with better players, and learn from them xD.

If you bring the eso system here, people will get much more defensive with their points, and you will see people sitting around looking for their perfect match, instead of just playing.

Nail on head.

For example for me playing DM the 2nd placed player is over 100 points below me, on ESO I would get 4-5 points for a win and 40 for a loss. Why would I play someone even lower (1600) and get even less points.

I think currently, let Voobly's rating system be as it is. Later, maybe it can be changed to ESO's rating system, or not .

ESO system is more fair putting points: for example when a 1700 player win vs a 1600 he get a few point, but ESO system can be fail (e.g the game count like adv), so both have advantages and disadvantages
