but cost more too... 4 vilagers build 1 TC for 1 minute, 10 res gained at 30 seconds by 1 vilager, that means summary TC costs 4*2*10 + 275 + 100 res (= 455 res)
if one TC starting working, it will produce additional workers, earliest worker will be the most effective cause of his work time...
worker produced at 25 seconds and give to the player 0.3 res per second

also u should to know - work at stone and gold mine ~27 sec, at tree ~30 sec, at farm ~28 sec, at bush ~33 sec

if u placed ur TC just on the resources, u get resources like that:
+8.(3) +16.(6) +33.(3) +41.(6) +50 +58.(3) +66.(6) +75 +83.(3) +91.(6) +100 ...

so u need to make 11 villagers for get profit from TC (with double axe, if TC very deep in forest, even 10), means ur TC should work 4.5 minutes near res

it is fastest profit from TC (saw or deep gold mining cost too much if u need to get imperial age before 27 minute)

TC needed only for make vilagers near res (on ur base, when boom, u need no make TC by this way cuz all res are near), for defend vilagers (when u boom u have wall... yes?!) or for increase vilagers production speed (vilager as vilager is not useful, he/she useful only if gives u res and u can spend these res, 20 TC boom is useless)

but very useful to get mining and saw if u add 4th or even 5th TC

for get profit from saw u should have 20 lumberjacks for a 6 minutes, for example

for get profit from axe, enough to cut trees for 5 mins with 16 lumberjacks (normal count before castle age farming)

For me, it is better to attack early with most of civs, and 3, 4 or 5 TC boom depends on ur civ

Math's are kindda "relative" in this game but, as a general rule in BF resources are not a big problem so the "cost/efective" criteria is not the most usefull here, plus it depends big on scenario (long forest passages=easy to rewall (if not DE mod=they can cut forest), short passages or long walls=early fight=no big booms, forget about "condensing the army" in a single big push), and depends aswell on civ as you say (with Persian (TC works fast) you may want go Elephants (early as posible)=high food requirements at the beggining, later Elephants are tank so you get less and less dependant, with Britons all the oposite, Magyars point to make big eco), in any case if you go 5 TC for "condensing" (or to catch "eco race") remember deleting vills AND sell extra resorces when they are at good price. i just keep thinking about 4 or 5 TC boom for pocket, who really need to boom...

5th TC delay techno not much and improves eco not much too

so its opened question for unknown (not scouted) situation ;hearts

almost never a reason to do a 5tc boom ever... except if you want extra protection or going war eles
