So why dont you look for an active developer? Or are you waiting for Voobly to die when AoE4 comes out?

We are no company, Voobly is run by a private individual in his free-time. We don't have the money to pay a developer.

TheViper's own (paraphrased) words: "for the sake of AoE4's success, I hope Voobly dies upon its release".

Proof or it didn't happen.

So Elusive is not the owner anymore?
Elusive is the owner of Voobly.

Voobly is earning decent income from selling premium accounts but simply refuses to pay the staff some money and that is why the staff is doing volunteer work. Volunteer work is not good enough.
That's not correct. Voobly is running a voluntary program. None of our volunteers have been doing any development duty ever, nor do any of our voluntary staff have access the server or any source code.

Could you please let us know, how we are supposed being able to cover the costs for servers, traffic, licenses etc. without our premium program? Decent income - not really. lol

So in other words, voobly needs to be purchased by someone who can afford it, and hopefully someone who isnt a piece of $%^&, and has a direction to take it in...... in other words, if thats not you, all you can do is pray. lol

Sound about right?

(no offense intended to the current owner, just sounds like hes got bigger things going on?)

Or i guess we could always hope elusive comes back, and from reading this forum, that might just be the best online alias ever XD

What is wrong with voobly in its current state? What is your objection? Voobly is not yet EOL in software terms. It is providing a stable gaming client, which was/is the intended purpose.
IMO, It can go smoothly for another 5 more years.

Is there a way I can get technical help ? And please do not address me to the "Help Center", the loss of half an hour was certainly not helpful, neither kind of you.. And there was nobody else there waiting to get assistance.. would classify this as 'ridiculous'.

Voobly isn't stable as just joining to room will often make voobly crash if you click anything, also it has old UI. people who play on HD complain voobly for being bad looking and other stuff.

The NAT-T is responsible for the slow down when you join a game room for first time -- since Voobly client was started. This is a technically necessary, because of the handshake protocol.
