"Could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw"

Can someone help me. I have bought Steam and used AOE2tools to convert to play on voobly. I have the newest windows.

Hi
Find your game ".exe" file to launch the game which can be find:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Voobly\gamedata\aoc\age2x_1.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Voobly\gamedata\aoc\userpatch\age2x_1.exe
&
If you have Age of Empires 2 HD
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age2HD\age2_x1\age2x_1.exe
If not
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\age2_x1\age2x_1.exe
right click it, goto properties, then Compatabality tab and make it run on 640x480 screen resolution, then apply and run the .exe
