It is supposed to be(come) more about strategy than speed and to make defensive mode equally likely as aggressive. Expect similarity to 'fortress' and 'LN-forest-nothing' yet rather limited resources!


Since,...
feudal age fish traps:
7,500 food per 1,000 wood

post imperial age farms:
Japanese, Saracens: 6,250 food / 1,000 wood
Byzantines, Aztecs: 9,167 food / 1,000 wood
Maya: 11,458.3 food / 1,000 wood
Teuton: 13,750 food / 1,000 wood

...we may pick Civilizations:
Teutons (farms cost 33% less), or Byzantines (-25% Hussars/Pikemen/Skirmishers),
Saracencs (5% trade fee only), Celts to rush (fast wood). Maybe Maya, for 25% more resources, yet missing units that cost food only or Japanese for faster fish from fishing traps or Aztec for reliquaries gold??

Drew it in the in-game "scenario" editor only but will look into making it a map instead (that adapts to numbers of players dynamically).

The current contest is over, you have come a year too late. There may be a new one in the near future, cannot confirm anything yet.
