Hi VCOM fellas!
I would like to try to host a tournament on my own as I think I am capable of handling it. A few weeks ago Barry said hosting a 2v2 tourney is easy, thats why I decided to pick 2v2 Hero, but also because several people playing in the 3v3 Hero tourney rather wanted to play 2v2 than 3v3 mentioning there hasnt been a 2v2 hero tourney for a long time. Also, usually same civ matches in the CS lobby are 2v2 matches thats why I think there will be a larger participation (more teams) in a 2v2 tourney.
However, I think I have to add a few extra rules to prevent possible conflicts that came up yesterday in the 3v3 tourney, so the tourney can run smoother since I dont have to make decisions which could make people think I would favor certain teams.
A few other little changes to make sure as many players as possible can enjoy playing in the tourney will be made such as 2-3 hours earlier, shorter rounds (the bo3 rounds took longer than I expected) so it doesnt get too late.
Im also going to make my own banner (since Ive studied Game Art for 2 years and can handle photoshop very well. Besides, making a banner doesnt require that much of graphic talent) in case this idea gets approved.
Alright, here is my blueprint (if you find any mistakes or have any suggestions, let me know):
Last Sixteen Match: Japanese (p1 and p2), Aztecs (p3 and p4)
Quarterfinals Match: Chinese (p1 and p2), Huns (p3 and p4)
Semifinals Match 1: Spanish (p1 and p2), Vikings (p3 and p4) Semifinals Match 2: Loser of match 1 picks the civs Semifinals Match 3: Winner of match 1 picks the civs
Finals and Third Place Match 1: Turks (p1 and p2), Goths (p3 and p4) Finals and Third Place Match 2: Loser of match 1 picks the civs Finals and Third Place Match 3: Winner of match 1 picks the civs
In case there will be more than 16 teams, round 1 will be BO1 with mirrored civs
Home maps rule: Remember that you can't pick duplicate civs (mong/mong or celt/celt).
Game Settings
Map: =V= CBA Hero AC V11.scx

Starting Age: Standard
Resources: Standard

Reveal Map: Explored

Cheats DISABLED!

Dropping Rules
If a player disconnects, the game will be resumed.
If the game cannot be resumed we will try to view the recorded game. If one team was going to win without any doubt they will be awarded the win. If there was no obvious winner then the game will be replayed with the same civilisations and spots.
If the same player constantly disconnects, their team will forfeit and the other team will progress to the next round unless a replacement can be found. The replacement cannot have played for another team.
Deleting Rules
Deleting a building or partially built building is only allowed in the following circumstances:
It is inside your or your allies base, it has more than 25% health and there are no enemy units within range to hit it.
It is in the main map but it is not on the frontline of buildings, it has more than 50% health and there are no enemy units near it.
You or your team have a significant number of units fighting in front of the building, it is blocking the way and highly unlikely to be destroyed.
Camping Rules
Camping is defined as a player playing ultra defensively in order to gain an unfair advantage. If a player stays at their gates and does not come out to attack that is clear camping. First offense means the game must be replayed. The second offense results in disqualification.
Break Rules [new rule]
Every team has the right to take a 10-15 minute break between each round if they want to, however not between the individual matches of the semifinals, 3rd place and finals.
If a team wants to take a break that exceeds these 15 minutes, either the other team has to agree or it has to be an emergency.
Language Rules [new rule]
Discrimination in any form is not tolerated. A violation of this rule will result in a reduced amount of rewarded points for this tournament or even in a disqualification for future events. Keep in mind that there are official rules related to this concern.
Simple trash talk is allowed since it has always been part of competitive activities such as sports or games. Keeping it to a minimum would be nice though.
VCOM Host Rulings
Any and all rules may be changed by the tournament organisers on or before the night. All rulings by the official VCOM tournament organisers are final.
Prizes
The top four placed teams will gain points on the Tournaments ladder.
If you gain enough points on that ladder, nice things will happen. In addition, if the attendance is 32 players or over there will be a prize of three months gold membership for the winners.

You look alien to what was decided lol ?
Tournament on all time zones.
Asian goes to you , me and raftaar
European to blake and xflow n kuvvy
American to raftaar , can be me n blake at some part.
And also dont post these stuffs on announcement as it just shows lack of internal discussion. I have deleted ur posts thrice. Hope you understand.
24 players participation in a tourney dont means that it is fail. The highest number of participation got was the 32 players. 24-26 is the average number of participation not a fail. Tournies are called low participated only if there are less than 20 ppl.
Also due to the change tournament rewards , participation has got less. So its not a matter of any kind of attendance issue. just the thing is that tournament will be hosted in all time zones.
When was the last time you helped hosting a tour spartan?
well if u see last tourney (of indian timezones) was held about 1 month earlier and that was hosted by cavin (1x1 CBA mele war) ask cavin that i helped or not^^
@Spartans: The time is already 2 hours earlier than the last tournament. I can add another hour if that changes much for indian participation but in general I want Europeans and South Americans to play. Anyway, last tourney ImVaibhav played so that proves if Indians really want to play, its possible.
Also, I think the success of a tourney shouldnt be judged on the number of participants alone, but also on the average skill of the players. I prefer a tourney with 12 very good players over a tourney with 48 noobs.
@Barry: Im only hosting Hero since I want to play the CBA tourneys myself And to host any Blood tourneys I dont have enough knowledge of the maps imo. Thats why Im sticking just to Hero for now, someone else gotta host the normal CBA ones.
