After a suggestion from Jonathan regarding regular tournament formats I decided to use his preferred 'world cup' style format for the 2v2 cba championships. There are a few tweaks!
I will divide the signed up teams into groups of four. They will all play each other once and the top two teams will progress to the next round. The group winner will make up the seeds with the best of the runners-up taking any spare seeded places. The third place finishers will go into a playoff game to earn a spot in the next round.
We've learnt from our experiences that any longer from 1 day tournaments in CS wouldnt work.
Most of teams wont even show up for scheduling of their matches unless money is involved.
Making a loser bracket is solid idea If you think it shouldnt be bounded with just 1 game.
I'm saying again leagues/groups and any other kinda stuff wont work here, don't waste your time.
